About me!
I'm just a Guy Teaching Chemical Engineering Online
Since 2013 I have been creating Educational content for Engineers all around the World!
As stated, I’m just a guy teaching chemical engineering online.
My objective is simple: I want to simplify Complex Chemical Engineering Topics into into easy to understand courses, lectures, or pieces of content.
Most lectures are short, in order to avoid “lecture-style” content.
The idea is to have dynamic learning with screencast, graphs, animations and video lectures in order to facilitate learning between the instructor and student.
I always wanto to have something similar to this as when I was studying my bachelor back in 2008-2012. I remember YouTube was a new tool but there was not that much content on engineering, much less in chemical engineering. In 2013 I decided to start my spanish channel on chemical engineering and in 2014 I changed it to a more “dynamic” english channel.
So far, I have obtained valuable feedback from hundreds of students and I have been able to monetize this project in order to make it sustainable and continue creating even more content for you guys!

About me…
I love Engineering
I always loved math, physics and chemistry… but I didn’t know what to do with that.
One day I visited the engineering lab of Tec de MTY and I instantly loved it.
I didn’t liked that much the idea to work with substances in a chemical lab, and using glassware and Bunsen Burners… I wanted to work with pumps, machines, and large amount of materials. This is when I met Chemical Engineering!
I was very happy to understand that Engineers are there to “fix” and “create” stuff in with an analytical and creative approach.
I love education!
My grandma was a teacher at primary / elementary levels, so she taught the love of teaching to my mom.
My mom used to work at the local university. She taught bachelors, masters and even Ph. Doctorates.
She taught me the importance of education and how it can improve our lifes in the mid-long run.
This is why I always wanted to do something related in the educational “industry”.

Hi there, I’m Emmanuel Ortega, aka Chemical Engineering Guy…
I’ve been in the Chemical Industry for about 5 years. I love applying all my knowledge learned in University to the Daily Engineering Life. From working in a Petrochemical Plant as a Process Plant Designer to working with textile material from Polyester Yarns; I could teach you a lot of how it is important to learn the Engineering subjects!
